As an artist I focus on two arenas both which I categorize as literature. Carving words like a journalist and occasionally poetry offers me long-term projects to pursue and a huge sense of gratification when I see myself bring a piece to its culmination. In an attempt at a steady, rigorous production, I also design and create storyboards and TV programs.

Utilizing mainly words, I form unique stories that often hint of tangible objects or ideas. For example, I enjoy representing as anchorwoman the role of witness for society . At times I create metaphores to resemble well-known storybook characters. Employing some of the scriptwriting  techniques I learned at The Univeristy  in Pamplona, Spain    I write news and stories for everyone to enjoy

My mediums constantly surprise me by their inter-relatedness. I will work on a page for a while and discover forms that I can use in Television and vice versa. The ideas of design can be translated from one material to the other. Writing, for me, is the best tool for transporting ideas across medium lines. I find myself writing in many of my spare moments. The root of my impulse is both figurative and organic, my finished work often embodying the human and organic forms.

I find inspiration in the work and lives of several artists including Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Octavio Paz. Among masters, the chief influence on my creativity is Cervantes , an Spanish writer , whose works were refined down to the most important elements.

He was able to express his ideas through very simple forms, keeping true to subject matter yet in a very provocative manner.

I appreciate these details about Cervantes's work as well as his sheer volume of work. He inspires me by his ultimate dedication of his life work: Don Quijote
